Electro-Mechanical Technician * Local
We are looking for an Electronics Tech to join the team of hardworking, skilled inspectors.
Requirements:
- Design electrical systems
- Install, configure, maintain, and replace complex electronic and electrical hardware on industrial equipment
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints.
- Coordinate and prioritize daily activity for inspection.
- Examine the layout and installation of wiring, cables, subassemblies, hardware, and components to detect assembly errors.
- Set up and use multi-meter testers.
- Understand PLC
- Recognize a good crimp and good solder joint.
- Perform first PC inspection
- Use micrometers to measure crimp heights
- Perform pull tests and perform in-process inspection.
- Enter quality defects and in-process findings on the computer.
Qualifications:
- Close vision, and color vision ability required
- Safely and effectively lifting, carrying, and moving objects of varying weights
- Bending, stooping, reaching, balancing, standing, and walking for extended periods and maintaining the necessary physical dexterity and coordination
- Working in various environmental conditions, which may include exposure to varying temperatures, and noise levels at times
Responsibilities:
- Perform in process and final inspection of electrical assemblies.
- Inspect various electronic systems to assure quality based on performance specifications.
- Examines production documents, to ensure that all assembly, inspecting, and testing steps were performed according to specifications.
- Must be able to identify areas of improvement through the review of the assembly process and inspection steps that are in place.
- Record test results
- Assist assembly personnel if needed
- Maintain and revise inspection documentation
- Communicate with colleagues to help resolve quality related issues.
- Maintain a professional demeanor.
