We are hiring a Research Analyst/Desk Officer to work in McLean, VA.
Required: TS/SCI with a Polygraph
- Assist in closing key intelligence gaps on high-priority SD topics through robust research, project management, and advisement of process improvement
- Leverage a deep understanding of the operational and technical complexities to collaborate across the Directorates, mission centers, IC and with outside partners to identify targeted areas of interest and initiate new research parameters
- Help find solutions to complex problems, identifying new technical tools and capabilities to advance the Customer’s goals
- Provide objective reviews and serve as a link among stakeholders
- Analyze, package, and prepare executive summaries and talking points
- Occasional overseas travel (~once per year)
Individual Capabilities/Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in a STEM-related field
- 2 years of experience as a Sponsor Desk Officer
- Ability to understand/translate technical research needs and requirements with staff SMEs
- Current knowledge of Customer-specific record management system with experience drafting Customer memorandums and other documents
- Ability to succeed in often ambiguous, fast-paced, environments with limited supervision and competing priorities
- Note: this position supports the Space Department, but the ideal candidate doesn’t have to have a space-related background
