In this role, you will provide legal counsel, perform legal research, draft documents, conduct litigation and trial duties, and update and maintain files. You will work closely with the managing attorney, other colleagues and team memvers, and senior partners to provide excellent legal services to our clients. Candidates with previous experience as a federal criminal prosecutor, DOJ, OIG, SEC, State of New Mexico prosecutor / criminal defense attorney or ASUA will receive more consideration. Must have experience with federal and State Healthcare Fraud and False Claims Act cases, qui tam cases, procurement, or State and federal white-collar crime cases. with a passion for law, we want to hear from you. Responsibilities
- Prepare contracts, briefs, motions, and other legal documents
- Conduct legal research
- Litigation, preparation and trial
- Prepare for and attend legal proceedings, if necessary, including trials
- Provide legal counsel in conjunction with senior associates
- Negotiate on behalf of clients
- Maintain detailed and accurate client records
- Respond to subpoenas, civil investigative demands (CID)
- Successful completion of a Juris Doctor (J.D. degree) from an accredited law school and bar exam
- Active member of the American Bar Association (ABA)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proven experience as healthcare fraud criminal defense or either state or federal prosecutor, former DOJ or Military JAG
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Ability to collaborate with colleagues to best serve clients
