Theoris Services is assisting our client in their search for a Maintenance Technican to add to their growing team located in Shelbyville, Indiana. This position is responsible for ensuring the optimal operation of our manufacturing equipment and facilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in industrial maintenance, with a strong preference for a background in plastic injection molding. This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency. Responsibilities:
- Perform troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance on industrial equipment, including plastic injection molding machines, robotics, and auxiliary equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues and implement effective solutions.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance to ensure equipment operates at peak performance.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, parts inventory, and equipment performance.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to minimize equipment downtime.
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machinery.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Provide recommendations for process improvements and equipment upgrades.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing or plastics environment.
- Strong preference for experience with plastic injection molding equipment.
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Familiarity with PLC troubleshooting and automation systems is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to emergency maintenance needs as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or training in industrial maintenance is a plus.
