Job Description:
Theoris Services is assisting our client in their search for a Sr. Technology Support Engineer to add to their growing team located in Newark, DE. Our client is seeking an individual to assist with Windows desktop support.
Responsibilities:
- Design and Development: Develop and maintain customized Windows 11 images tailored to the organization’s needs. Ensure compatibility with existing software and hardware.
- Deployment: Implement and manage Windows 11 deployment strategies using tools such as Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM), Windows Deployment Services (WDS), and Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT).
- Testing and Validation: Conduct comprehensive testing of Windows 11 builds, including application compatibility testing, to ensure a stable and secure operating system environment.
- Automation: Develop automated scripts and processes to streamline the build and deployment of Windows 11. Utilize PowerShell and other scripting languages to enhance automation.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of build procedures, deployment processes, and configuration settings.
- Support and Troubleshooting: Provide third-level support for Windows 11 issues. Troubleshoot and resolve complex OS-related problems.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other IT teams, including network, security, and application teams, to ensure seamless integration and operation of Windows 11 within the IT infrastructure.
- Security: Ensure that Windows 11 builds and deployments meet the organization’s security policies and standards. Implement security patches and updates promptly.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in building and deploying Windows operating systems, with a focus on Windows 10/11.
- Strong knowledge of Windows 11 architecture, Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM), Windows Deployment Services (WDS), Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT), and PowerShell scripting.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex OS-related issues.
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate or Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate are a plus.
