Job Description
We seek a licensed mental health professional with experience in trauma and EMDR therapy to join our outpatient team.
Responsibilities
- Establish therapeutic alliances and develop goal-oriented treatment plans.
- Facilitate individual and family counseling using EMDR and other trauma-informed modalities.
- Complete documentation in accordance with TheraCorp policies and state/federal regulations.
- Collaborate with the treatment team to track client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Must be licensed in one of the following (LSW, LAC, LAMFT, LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or Psychologist).
- EMDR Certification: Completion of an EMDRIA-Approved Basic Training Program is required. EMDRIA certification is preferred, but not mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience in providing mental health services, with specialized training in trauma and PTSD.
- Therapeutic Skills: Proficiency in EMDR protocols and complementary trauma-focused approaches (e.g., CBT, somatic therapy).
- Cultural Competency: Sensitivity to diverse backgrounds and cultural influences on mental health.
- Communication Skills: Ability to explain EMDR processes clearly to clients and manage expectations.
- Commitment to Growth: Ongoing supervision, training, or consultation in EMDR therapy to stay up-to-date with best practices.
