Job Opportunity
We are seeking a licensed mental health professional with experience in trauma and EMDR therapy to join our team, working closely with our treatment team to provide exceptional care to clients.
Responsibilities
- Conduct initial assessments and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Deliver individual and family counseling sessions using EMDR and other trauma-informed modalities.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation in accordance with organizational policies.
- Participate in ongoing supervision, training, or consultation to stay current with best practices in EMDR therapy.
Requirements
- Licensure: Must be licensed in one of the following (LSW, LAC, LAMFT, LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or Psychologist).
- EMDR Certification: Completion of an EMDRIA-Approved Basic Training Program is required. EMDRIA certification is preferred, but not mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience in providing mental health services, with specialized training in trauma and PTSD.
- Therapeutic Skills: Proficiency in EMDR protocols and complementary trauma-focused approaches (e.g., CBT, somatic therapy).
- Cultural Competency: Sensitivity to diverse backgrounds and cultural influences on mental health.
- Communication Skills: Ability to explain EMDR processes clearly to clients and manage expectations.
- Commitment to Growth: Ongoing supervision, training, or consultation in EMDR therapy to stay up-to-date with best practices.
