Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced EMDR therapist to join our team, providing high-quality mental health services to individuals and families.
About the Role
This is a full-time position with an immediate caseload, requiring a licensed mental health professional with experience in trauma and EMDR therapy.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective treatment plans tailored to clients' needs.
- Collaborate with the treatment team to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation in accordance with organizational policies.
- Provide ongoing supervision, training, or consultation to stay current with best practices in EMDR therapy.
Requirements
- Licensure: Must be licensed in one of the following (LSW, LAC, LAMFT, LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or Psychologist).
- EMDR Certification: Completion of an EMDRIA-Approved Basic Training Program is required. EMDRIA certification is preferred, but not mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience in providing mental health services, with specialized training in trauma and PTSD.
- Therapeutic Skills: Proficiency in EMDR protocols and complementary trauma-focused approaches (e.g., CBT, somatic therapy).
- Cultural Competency: Sensitivity to diverse backgrounds and cultural influences on mental health.
- Communication Skills: Ability to explain EMDR processes clearly to clients and manage expectations.
- Commitment to Growth: Ongoing supervision, training, or consultation in EMDR therapy to stay up-to-date with best practices.
