What You’ll Do:
As a Behavior Technician, you will:
- Work directly with children to implement treatment plans developed by a BCBA.
- Target skill development in language, play, social, and adaptive areas while addressing behavioral challenges.
- Use evidence-based strategies to inspire meaningful progress.

- Collaborate with clinical teams and attend regular team meetings.

Responsibilities:
- Follow treatment plans created by a BCBA to help clients achieve their goals.
- Collect and record data on client progress during sessions.
- Provide updates on client progress to supervisors.
- Teach language, academic, self-help, and social skills.
- Attend monthly team meetings to collaborate and learn new strategies.
- Apply basic principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
- Work effectively with a supportive team and maintain professional communication with caregivers and supervisors.
- Travel to session locations and arrive on time.
- Stay organized and responsive through email communication.
Physical Requirements:
To perform the essential functions of this role, the following physical abilities are required:
- Verbal Communication: Must speak clearly and effectively to provide instructions, engage with clients, and communicate professionally with caregivers and team members.
- Visual & Auditory Abilities: Must be able to see clearly at various distances, adjust focus, and read written materials. Requires the ability to hear and interpret speech and environmental sounds, even in noisy settings.
- Manual Dexterity: Requires fine and gross motor skills for typing, writing, grasping, and manipulating objects, as well as assisting clients with hands-on activities.
- Mobility & Strength: Must be able to walk, stand, squat, crouch, bend, stoop, sit on the floor, and rise quickly from a seated position. Must also be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 40-50 pounds as needed.
- Behavioral Intervention: If required as part of a Behavior Intervention Plan, must be willing and able to use safe intervention techniques, including quick body movements, redirection, and de-escalation strategies, while maintaining control and professionalism.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Education: High School Diploma required.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree (or current enrollment) in Psychology, Education, Social Work, Behavioral Science, Human Development, or a related field.
- Experience: Previous experience in behavior analysis is a plus but not required—comprehensive training will be provided.
Requirements:
- References: Provide two professional or personal references.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check.
- Health Requirement: Submit proof of a negative TB test.
- Documentation: Provide copies of your resume, government-issued ID, diplomas, transcripts, and any relevant licenses or certifications.
- Transportation: Reliable transportation is required for commuting to session locations.
