Peer Recovery Coach [Walled Lake, Mi]

The Peer Recovery Coach position will work as a team member to provide and maintain a supportive, hopeful, and engaging environment for individuals seeking help with substance abuse. This position should promote greater confidence, independence and community integration and this team member must have the ability to engage with this community to promote support and motivation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

· Serve as a one-on-one support to clients in various stages of the recovery process.

· Works with clients to identify chronic behavior, discuss impact, develop improvement strategies and specific goal-directed interventions implemented by primary therapist

· Meets regularly with the care team to plan care and discuss cases, and exchanges appropriate information with team members in an informal manner as part of the daily routine of the clinic

· Maintain regular contact via phone calls and meetings.

· Provide the individual with assistance navigating systems, such as the DHS and Social Security.

· Provide moral, emotional, informational, and instrumental support.

· Assist with socializing and building a recovery network of support through support groups, 12-step meetings, and recovery events as needed.

· Connect with needed resources (housing, food, and clothing).

· Participate in training and orientation of new staff and interns

· Comply with attendance and punctuality policies, as well as all other Therapeutics policies and procedures

· Understand and work within The Company’s Mission and Policies.

· Perform other duties as required by state regulatory rules

· Follow all confidentiality guidelines, including HIPAA.

· Flexibility with client scheduling, including early hours (5:45 AM starting time).

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Salary: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
