Extract Technician

Position: Extraction Technician

Reports to: Extraction Manager & Supervisors

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8AM-4PM

JOB DESCRIPTION: The Extraction Technician reports directly to the Extraction Team Lead and is responsible for aiding in extraction operations. He/she will be responsible for helping the Extraction team carry out the company's detailed plan to transform the cured plant material into final extract and extract-infused products. The expectation of the Extraction Technician is that he/she will participate in the careful use and maintenance of all lab equipment, tracking of extraction inventory and preparation of final products for delivery.

JOB RESPONSBILITIES:

Filter and perform post processing on CO2 extraction oil

• Create medicated tinctures, capsules and creams.
• Help monitor the inventory of supplies necessary for extraction and alert the Extraction Supervisor when supplies are needed.
• Eventually cross train on all lab equipment involved in extraction operations - distillation, ethanol extraction, solventless exraction, rotovaps.
• Follow all SOPS as directed by the Extraction Team Lead.
• Help maintain an environment/culture conducive to efficient and effective extraction operations.
• Maintain high levels of effort, enthusiasm and efficiency while working.
• Work closely with compliance to ensure that regulations are met in all areas of extraction and batch records are kept up-to-date.
• Maintain, clean and organize work area.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Passionate about cannabis extracts and concentrates
• Familiarity with solventless or ethanol extraction preferred.
• Minimum 1 year experience working within cannabis field preferred.
• Experience working with laboratory equipment preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
