Position: Label Production Coordinator

Reports to: Production Manager

Schedule: First-Shift


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate the production of cannabis product labels in accordance with company standards and state regulations.
  • Work closely with the Packaging Manager and other relevant teams to understand label requirements for different product types.
  • Collaborate with the design team to ensure accurate and compliant label artwork.
  • Manage the approval process for label designs, ensuring alignment with branding guidelines and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the printing process of cannabis product labels, ensuring high-quality output.
  • Coordinate the application of labels to packaging materials, including pouches, jars, and other containers.
  • Maintain accurate records of label inventory and coordinate reorders as needed.
  • Work closely with the Packaging Manager to synchronize label inventory with production schedules.
  • Conduct regular inspections of labels to ensure they meet quality standards and comply with state regulations.
  • Address and resolve any issues related to label printing or application promptly.
  • Stay informed about changes in labeling regulations for the cannabis industry.
  • Ensure all labels meet state requirements and adhere to company policies.
  • Collaborate with various departments, including packaging, compliance, and production, to facilitate smooth label production processes.
  • Communicate any issues or delays in label production to relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate records of label production activities, including approvals, reorders, and quality control measures.
  • Responsible for gathering all paperwork and applying the corresponding label for each area of production.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in label production coordination, preferably in the cannabis industry.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and compliance with labeling requirements.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage label inventory, production schedules, and approvals.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Ability to adapt to changing regulatory requirements and company processes.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills to address issues related to label production promptly.
  • Strong proficiency in computer skills, particularly in Excel, to efficiently manage and analyze label production data.
