We are currently seeking an individual to fill the position of Developmental Specialist for our early intervention agency.
This is a rewarding career where professionals are able to come alongside families to coach, support, and empower them in their child's developmental journey.
This position does require travel to provide in home services and is available as both part time or contract work - allows flexible scheduling and hours as well as the ability to work independently while still being part of a great supportive team.
Job Duties include, but not limited to:
- be responsible for the tracking and monitoring of assigned caseload to ensure compliance and service coordination duties are met
- keeping client files accurate and up to date in database systems
- responsible for scheduling visits each month that meet frequency of the plan and coordinate with family's scheduling needs
- as part of a multidisciplinary team, complete ongoing developmental assessments
- provide parent education and coaching during Special Instruction home visits to work towards completion of plan goals
- provide resources and support to children and families on caseload
- complete progress notes and reports in a timely manner
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in early childhood education/special education or another human service related field.
- At least one year experience with children birth to age 5
- Preferred experience with children with developmental delays or special needs.
