About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team for part time evening hours. As an COTA, you will be responsible for providing quality care to pediatric populations using your expertise in Occupational Therapy. Your main goal will be to help patients achieve their maximum level of independence and improve their quality of life.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree from an accredited institution.
- Current Ohio license or eligibility for state licensure as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
- Experience working with pediatric populations.
- Proficiency in EMR software.
- Effective interpersonal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a healthcare and community settings.
- Specialization in a specific area of Occupational Therapy such as ADL's, feeding therapy, fine motor development, and / or sensory integration.
- Experience working with patients with autism
Responsibilities:
- Implement treatment plans for patients based on their individual needs and goals under the direction of an Occupational Therapist
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions to patients using evidence-based interventions.
- Document patient progress and communicate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and techniques in Occupational Therapy to provide the best possible care to patients.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and caregivers to ensure a holistic approach to treatment.
Skills:
As an COTA, you will use your expertise in Occupational Therapy to provide quality care to pediatric populations. You will need to have effective interpersonal communication skills to collaborate with patients, families, and caregivers. Additionally, you will need to stay up-to-date with the latest research and techniques in Occupational Therapy to provide the best possible care to patients. Specialization in a specific area of Occupational Therapy and experience working with patients with complex medical needs are preferred qualifications that will enhance your ability to provide quality care.
