Key Responsibilities:
Assess and develop individualized nutrition plans for patients with ESRD.
Educate and counsel patients and their families on renal nutrition best practices.
Work closely with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
Stay up-to-date with the latest in renal nutrition research and implement best practices.
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations regarding nutrition services.
Requirements:
Registered Dietitian credential through the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics on the Commission of Dietetics Registry – Required
State Licensure (if applicable) – Required
Minimum of 1 year of professional work experience as a Registered Dietitian in a clinical nutrition setting – Required
Member of the American Dietetic Association – Strongly Preferred
Previous experience with ESRD patients – Preferred
Must maintain registration and continuing education hours as required by the American Dietetic Association.
Strong communication skills – ability to effectively educate patients and collaborate with staff.
Ability to interpret medical documents, safety protocols, and procedure manuals.
BLS Certification – Required
