Role Overview:
Are you passionate about oncology nursing and looking to make a significant impact in patient care? Join our dedicated team in Peterborough, NH, as an RN Oncology. This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced nurses who specialize in outpatient oncology and infusion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide compassionate and expert care to oncology patients in an outpatient setting.
- Administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, and other infusion therapies.
- Monitor and manage port, catheter, and fistula access and maintenance.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and their families about treatment plans and care procedures.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of current experience in outpatient oncology and infusion is required.
- Skills: Experience with ports, catheters, and fistulas is required. IV certification and peripheral IV insertion experience are strongly preferred.
- Education: BSN is preferred. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing is required.
- Licensure: Current NH RN licensure is required.
- Certifications: ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certificate and BLS are required. ACLS and ONCC certification are preferred.
