Urgent Hiring: Phlebotomist (Night Shift - 13-Week Contract)

We’re looking for a dedicated and skilled Phlebotomist to join our team for a 13-week contract with a night shift schedule. If you're passionate about providing excellent care, managing specimen integrity, and making a difference in patient outcomes, this opportunity is perfect for you!
Key Responsibilities:
Specimen Collection & Handling: Perform both capillary and venipuncture blood draws from patients of all ages with precision and care.
Customer Service: Provide exceptional patient care, ensuring comfort during specimen collection and clear communication throughout the process.
Point-of-Care Testing: Conduct occasional point-of-care tests (e.g., glucose) and report results accurately.
Specimen Integrity: Ensure accurate patient identification, specimen labeling, and transport to maintain specimen integrity.
Documentation & Reporting: Process laboratory and patient reports in accordance with procedures, including printing, recording, distributing, and filing.
Problem Solving: Identify issues promptly, document corrective actions, and notify the Supervisor to maintain the highest quality patient care.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with the healthcare team to manage priority requests, meet turnaround times, and ensure effective workflow.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Previous Phlebotomy Experience: At least 1-2 years of phlebotomy experience in a clinical or healthcare setting is preferred.
Certification: Phlebotomist certification is preferred but not required.
BLS Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required prior to start date (specifically for Emergency Department roles).
Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and patient care during specimen collection and processing.
Effective Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
Ability to Work Under Pressure: Comfortable managing multiple tasks and high priority draws during the shift.
