Therapy Insights Practice is a values-driven psychotherapy group based in the heart of NYC. We are seeking a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) to join our expanding team. Our ideal candidate is passionate about inclusive, affirming care—especially for clients navigating LGBTQIA identities, trauma, and co-occurring conditions such as substance use disorders. In this role, you will provide comprehensive mental health assessments, develop treatment plans, and deliver compassionate care to clients facing a range of mental health issues.

What You’ll Do
- Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments for clients
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on client needs and goals.
- Provide ongoing psychotherapy and medication management as appropriate.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.
- Educate clients about their mental health conditions and treatment options.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in compliance with regulations.
- Support clients in navigating challenges related to trauma, mood disorders, and relationship issues.
- Participate in internal case reviews or peer consults
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Nursing with a focus on Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing.
- Current certification and licensure as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in New York State.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and mental health assessment techniques.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.
- DEA Registration (or eligible)
- 2 years experience preferred (provisionally licensed applicants with supervision plan will be considered)
- Passion for working with LGBTQIA populations and/or trauma, addiction, and anxiety disorders
- Reliable, strengths-based, and team-oriented
