Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our team at Therapy Management Group. This role is essential in ensuring accurate billing processes for our healthcare services, contributing to the financial health of our organization while supporting our commitment to providing exceptional care.
Responsibilities
- Process and submit medical billing claims accurately and timely using ICD-10 coding systems.
- Review patient records for completeness and accuracy prior to billing.
- Follow up on unpaid claims and resolve any discrepancies with insurance companies.
- Maintain organized medical records and documentation in compliance with regulations.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare providers, patients, and insurance representatives regarding billing inquiries.
- Stay updated on changes in medical billing regulations and coding practices.
- Assist in the collection of payments from patients as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in medical billing, preferably within a healthcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of ICD-10, and medical coding practices.
- Familiarity with medical office operations and medical terminology.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders including patients and insurance companies.
- Experience with medical collections is a plus but not required.
