We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Special Education Assistant Professional to join our team at Therapy Travelers. As a contract School Speech and Language Pathologist Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting SLPs and providing direct services for students.
Job Description
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in special education and be able to communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff. You will work closely with SLPs to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and provide support to students in need.
Key Responsibilities
- Support SLPs in their work with students, including data collection and progress monitoring
- Provide direct services for students, including one-on-one support and group therapy sessions
- Assist with developing and implementing IEPs for students
Requirements
- A minimum of 1 year of verifiable experience as a SLPA within the last 3 years (may include residency or clinical practicum)
- A valid SLPA license or in process in the state of practice
- Lawful employment authorization in the United States
