Job Title: Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist - Cath Lab Technologist
Job Summary:
The Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist - Cath Lab Technologist is responsible for assisting in diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures under the guidance of a physician. They are trained to operate specialized imaging equipment and assist in the placement of stents, balloons, and other devices to treat cardiovascular conditions.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assist physicians during cardiac catheterization procedures
2. Operate fluoroscopy equipment to visualize the heart and blood vessels
3. Prepare and maintain sterile fields during procedures
4. Monitor patients before, during, and after cath lab procedures
5. Document procedure results and patient information accurately
6. Ensure equipment is properly maintained and calibrated
7. Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Associate's degree or certification in cardiovascular technology or related field
2. Valid ARRT or RCIS certification
3. BLS and ACLS certification
4. Minimum of 2 years experience in a cath lab setting
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
6. Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
7. Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds
8. Knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology
