Job Description
Job Title: Cath Lab Technologist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Cath Lab Technologist to join our team and assist in performing various cardiovascular procedures in a fast-paced and dynamic Cath Lab environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cardiac anatomy and physiology, as well as exceptional technical skills to support the interventional cardiologist during procedures.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Prepare and assist with cardiac catheterizations, angioplasties, and other cardiac procedures
- Operate specialized imaging equipment to provide clear and accurate images of the heart and blood vessels
- Monitor patients during procedures and ensure their safety and comfort
- Assist with the insertion and removal of catheters, guide wires, and other equipment
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment and ensure equipment is properly sterilized and maintained
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree in cardiovascular technology or related field
- Certified Cardiovascular Technologist (CCT) credential
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment
