Job Title: Echo Technologist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Echo Technologist to work in our healthcare facility, where you will be responsible for performing echocardiogram procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of heart conditions. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating ultrasound equipment, interpreting images, and working closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform echocardiogram procedures on patients, including 2D, M-mode, Doppler, and color flow imaging
- Ensure accurate and high-quality images are obtained for medical interpretation
- Collaborate with physicians to determine appropriate testing protocols
- Maintain equipment and ensure proper functioning
- Record and document findings in patient records
- Educate patients on the procedure and answer any questions they may have
Qualifications and Skills:
- Certified as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or equivalent
- Bachelor's degree in Cardiovascular Technology or related field
- Previous experience working as an Echo Technologist in a healthcare setting
- Strong understanding of cardiac anatomy and physiology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
