Job Title: Echo Technologist
Job Summary:
As an Echo Technologist, you will be responsible for performing echocardiograms to assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of heart conditions. You will work closely with patients to obtain the highest quality images to aid in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Perform echocardiograms using ultrasound equipment.
2. Prepare patients for procedures, explaining the process and answering any questions.
3. Ensure images are of high quality and appropriate for diagnosis.
4. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
5. Collaborate with physicians to provide accurate and timely results.
6. Stay current on advancements in echo technology and techniques.
7. Assist in the training of new echo technologists.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Associate's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field.
2. ARDMS certification in Adult Echocardiography.
3. Strong attention to detail.
4. Excellent communication skills.
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
6. Knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology.
7. Experience with echocardiography equipment and technology.
