Job Title: Echo Technologist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Echo Technologist to join our medical team. The Echo Technologist will be responsible for performing echocardiograms and obtaining images of the heart for diagnostic purposes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cardiovascular technology and be detail-oriented.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform echocardiograms on patients as ordered by physicians
- Obtain clear and accurate images of the heart using ultrasound equipment
- Assist physicians in diagnosing and treating heart conditions
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures
- Maintain accurate records of procedures and patient information
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care
Qualifications and Skills:
- Certification as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) required
- Bachelor's degree in cardiovascular technology or related field preferred
- Experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in cardiology
- Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
