Job Title: Invasive Cardiovascular Tech, Cath Lab Tech
Job Summary:
As an Invasive Cardiovascular Tech, also known as a Cath Lab Tech, you will be responsible for assisting physicians during various cardiovascular procedures. You will operate complex medical equipment and monitor patients before, during, and after procedures to ensure their safety and well-being.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist physicians with catheterization procedures
- Prepare and maintain sterile fields
- Monitor patients' vital signs during procedures
- Operate and troubleshoot medical equipment
- Document patient information and procedure details
- Provide patient education and support
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree in Cardiovascular Technology or related field
- Certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or equivalent
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and ability to follow protocols and procedures
- Willingness to continually learn and stay current with advancements in the field
