Job Description
Job Title: Mammographer
Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Mammographer to join our team and perform mammography exams on patients to assist in the detection of breast cancer and other breast-related conditions. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a compassionate bedside manner.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Perform mammography exams on patients using specialized equipment.
2. Position patients correctly for imaging and ensure patient comfort during exams.
3. Operate imaging equipment and adjust settings for optimal image quality.
4. Review images to ensure they meet quality standards and accurately capture required information.
5. Maintain patient records and ensure patient confidentiality at all times.
6. Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures and answer any questions they may have.
7. Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret results and recommend further testing if necessary.
8. Stay up-to-date on the latest developments in mammography technology and techniques.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Certification in mammography from an accredited program.
- State licensure as a Radiologic Technologist.
- Prior experience working as a Mammographer preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate bedside manner and ability to put patients at ease.
