Job Title: Mammography Technologist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mammography Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing mammography exams to assist in the diagnosis of breast cancer and other breast-related health issues. This individual will play a vital role in providing high-quality imaging services to patients while ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Perform mammography exams as ordered by healthcare providers
2. Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures
3. Operate mammography equipment to produce high-quality images
4. Ensure patients are informed and comfortable during the imaging process
5. Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to review and analyze imaging results
6. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
7. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while performing imaging procedures
8. Assist with scheduling and coordinating patient appointments
9. Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field
2. ARRT certification in Mammography
3. State licensure or certification as required
4. Strong attention to detail and accuracy
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
6. Ability to work independently and in a team environment
7. Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
8. Prior experience in mammography preferred
