Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technician

Job Summary:

As a Nuclear Medicine Technician, you will be responsible for preparing and administering radioactive drugs for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes. You will operate imaging equipment to capture images of organs and tissues to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions.

Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Prepare and administer radioactive drugs to patients for imaging procedures.

2. Operate imaging equipment to capture images of organs and tissues.

3. Monitor patients during imaging procedures to ensure their safety and comfort.

4. Maintain and calibrate imaging equipment to ensure accurate results.

5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to interpret imaging results and provide diagnostic information to physicians.

6. Follow radiation safety protocols to protect both patients and staff.

7. Keep accurate records of procedures and patient information.

8. Educate patients about imaging procedures and answer any questions they may have.

9. Stay current on advancements in nuclear medicine technology and procedures.

Qualifications and Skills:

1. Associate's degree in nuclear medicine technology or related field.

2. Certification from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).

3. State licensure as a nuclear medicine technologist.

4. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

5. Excellent communication skills.

6. Ability to work well with patients of all ages and backgrounds.

7. Knowledge of radiation safety protocols.

8. Strong problem-solving skills.
