Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing imaging procedures using radioactive materials for diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions. This role requires attention to detail, technical expertise, and a strong knowledge of nuclear medicine principles.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Prepare and administer radioactive drugs to patients in accordance with physician orders
- Operate imaging equipment to capture images of organs, tissues, and bones for diagnostic purposes
- Monitor patient during imaging procedures to ensure safety and comfort
- Maintain accurate records of procedures performed and patient information
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to interpret images and provide accurate diagnoses
- Follow safety protocols and regulations related to handling radioactive materials and equipment maintenance
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or related field
- Certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology (CNMT) preferred
- Strong understanding of nuclear medicine principles and imaging techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
