Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating imaging equipment to help diagnose and treat patients with various medical conditions. This position requires a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients
- Operate imaging equipment such as gamma cameras and PET scanners
- Position patients for imaging procedures and ensure their safety and comfort
- Monitor patients during imaging procedures to ensure accurate results
- Work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret imaging results
- Maintain accurate records of imaging procedures and patient information
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations to minimize radiation exposure
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in nuclear medicine technology or a related field
- Certification by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Strong knowledge of nuclear medicine procedures and equipment
- Excellent technical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
