Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures using radioactive materials and specialized equipment.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Prepare and administer radioactive drugs to patients for imaging procedures
- Operate imaging equipment such as gamma cameras and PET scanners to capture images of organs and tissues
- Monitor patients during imaging procedures to ensure their safety and comfort
- Analyze and interpret images to provide accurate diagnostic information to physicians
- Maintain patient records and follow strict safety protocols for handling radioactive materials
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology
- Certification from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Prior experience working as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and careful adherence to safety protocols
