Job Title: Radiology Manager (Allied Manager/Director)
Job Summary:
The Radiology Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the radiology department, including managing staff, maintaining equipment, ensuring quality patient care, and adherence to regulations and guidelines. They also work closely with other healthcare professionals to optimize imaging services and patient outcomes.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the radiology department.
2. Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient workflow and quality control.
3. Manage and schedule staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
4. Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations, as well as accreditation standards.
5. Oversee equipment maintenance and upgrades, including troubleshooting issues and coordinating repairs.
6. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to develop imaging protocols and optimize patient care.
7. Monitor and analyze departmental performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
8. Participate in budget planning and financial management of the department.
9. Stay current on industry trends and best practices to provide leadership and guidance to staff.
10. Provide support and guidance to staff in challenging situations and complex cases.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Bachelor's degree in radiologic technology or related field (Master's degree preferred).
2. ARRT certification and state licensure as a radiologic technologist.
3. Minimum of 5 years of experience in radiology, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
4. Strong leadership and communication skills.
5. Knowledge of radiology procedures, equipment, and regulations.
6. Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
7. Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and radiology information systems.
9. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
