Job title: Radiology MRI Tech
Job Summary:
The Radiology MRI Tech will be responsible for operating MRI equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients' internal organs and tissues. They will work closely with radiologists to assist in interpreting images and providing accurate diagnosis.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform MRI scans on patients according to physician's orders
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during imaging procedures
- Calibrate and maintain MRI equipment to ensure accurate results
- Communicate with patients to explain procedures and alleviate any concerns
- Assist radiologists in interpreting images and preparing reports
- Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information
- Adhere to all safety and regulatory guidelines in the use of MRI equipment
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide high-quality patient care
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field
- Certification in MRI technology
- State licensure or certification as a Radiologic Technologist
- Strong understanding of anatomy and physiology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Familiarity with PACS systems and electronic medical records
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
