Job Title: Radiology Radiation Therapist
Job Summary:
As a Radiology Radiation Therapist, you will be responsible for administering radiation therapy treatments to patients under the direction of a Radiation Oncologist. Your role will involve operating radiation therapy equipment, ensuring patient safety and comfort during treatments, and documenting treatment plans and outcomes.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Administer radiation therapy treatments according to the prescribed treatment plan
- Operate radiation therapy equipment and monitor patients during treatments
- Educate patients on treatment procedures and potential side effects
- Ensure patient safety and compliance with radiation safety protocols
- Collaborate with Radiation Oncologists and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans
- Document treatment plans, outcomes, and patient responses to therapy
- Maintain accurate records and ensure patient confidentiality
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiation Therapy or related field
- Certification in Radiation Therapy from an accredited program
- State licensure or certification as a Radiation Therapist
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Knowledge of radiation safety protocols and best practices
