Job Description

Job Title: Sonographer OB/GYN

Job Summary:

As a Sonographer specializing in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN), you will be responsible for performing ultrasound examinations on pregnant women and female patients to help diagnose and monitor conditions related to the female reproductive system. You will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate and detailed sonographic images for patient care.

Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Perform ultrasound exams on pregnant women to monitor fetal growth and development.

2. Assist physicians in diagnosing conditions such as ectopic pregnancies, ovarian cysts, and uterine fibroids.

3. Conduct transvaginal and transabdominal ultrasounds to obtain clear images of the reproductive organs.

4. Document findings accurately and maintain patient records in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

5. Communicate effectively with patients to ensure their comfort and understanding during the procedure.

6. Work collaboratively with healthcare team members to provide high-quality patient care.

7. Stay current on latest technology and advancements in OB/GYN sonography.

Qualifications and Skills:

1. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.

2. ARDMS certification in OB/GYN sonography.

3. Minimum of 2 years of experience in OB/GYN ultrasound.

4. Strong knowledge of female anatomy and physiology.

5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

6. Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

7. Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
