Job Title: Sonography : Echo Tech
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sonography : Echo Tech to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations to create images of patients’ organs and tissues. They will also be responsible for operating and maintaining ultrasound equipment, and communicating effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations
- Prepare patients for procedures and explain the process to them
- Operate ultrasound equipment to obtain high-quality images
- Evaluate images for quality and accuracy
- Analyze and interpret imaging results
- Communicate findings to healthcare providers
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures
- Assist with the training and supervision of new technologists
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography
- Certification as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in echocardiography
- Strong knowledge of ultrasound techniques and equipment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
