Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team of medical professionals. The Ultrasound Technologist will be responsible for operating ultrasound equipment to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes. This role requires a strong understanding of anatomy and pathology, as well as excellent communication skills to interact with patients and healthcare providers.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Perform ultrasound examinations in accordance with department protocols
• Prepare patients for procedures and explain the process to alleviate any concerns
• Position patients to ensure optimal imaging results
• Operate ultrasound equipment to capture images of internal organs and tissues
• Analyze images to ensure quality and accuracy
• Maintain equipment and ensure proper calibration
• Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare providers to interpret results and provide accurate diagnoses
• Uphold patient confidentiality and privacy at all times
• Stay current on new technologies and advancements in the field of ultrasound imaging

Qualifications and Skills:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field
• ARDMS certification or eligibility to obtain certification
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and ultrasound principles
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Attention to detail and accuracy in image capture and analysis
• Prior experience in a healthcare setting preferred
