Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need of personal care. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring their comfort and safety while promoting their independence. As a Caregiver, you will work closely with clients who may require assistance due to age, illness, or disabilities, providing both physical and emotional support.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide patient observation to monitor changes in clients’ health and report any concerns.
- Support individuals with disabilities by facilitating their participation in social activities and community engagement.
- Offer memory care services to clients experiencing cognitive decline or dementia.
- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary needs and preferences.
- Assist with hospice care for terminally ill patients, ensuring comfort and dignity during their final days.
- Help with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe living environment.
- Lift and transfer clients safely as needed, using proper techniques to prevent injury.
- Maintain open communication with family members and healthcare professionals regarding client progress and needs.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in home care, senior care, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of dementia care principles and techniques is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Patience and empathy when working with individuals facing physical or cognitive challenges.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting clients safely.
- Certification in CPR/First Aid is advantageous but not mandatory; training may be provided.
- A valid driver’s license may be required for positions involving transportation of clients.
