Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Implement and follow care plans tailored to each client's needs.
- Monitor and document patient observations, reporting any changes in condition to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring hygiene standards are met.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive atmosphere.
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality and privacy.
- Support individuals with developmental disabilities by encouraging independence and participation in daily activities.
- Administer first aid or CPR when necessary, following established protocols.
Skills
- Experience in assisted living or group home settings is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of care plans and patient observation techniques.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and the importance of confidentiality in caregiving.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
