There With Care is hiring a Community Engagement Manager for our Colorado chapter. This person will be responsible for leading efforts to strengthen, expand and cultivate community outreach and partnerships for our Colorado locations. This person will play a pivotal role in either managing or supporting community/fundraising events to meet associated revenue goals. In addition, the Community Engagement Manager will nurture partnerships and efforts toward in-kind support, corporate groups, sponsorship support, and communication efforts to benefit and promote There With Care.
About Us
Founded in Colorado in 2005, There With Care’s mission is to provide a wide range of meaningful and fundamental services for families and children during the critical phase of a medical crisis. We serve families referred by hospital social workers and build support around them through a community of individuals, volunteers, services, and businesses, who ease their burden of life’s day-to-day obligations with compassion and care. Our current service locations are Colorado and the Bay Area of California.
The Important Work You’ll Do
Community Outreach:
- Develop and implement strategies to identify and engage with business owners, local organizations, community groups, and corporate partners. This may include in-person networking, events, cold-calling, emailing, database entry, reporting and more.
- Research potential organizations and partners to find alignment between their vision for social impact and the mission of There With Care.
- Establish regular communication channels with community leaders and representatives to ensure continued engagement.
- Work with the Marketing and Development teams to create a community engagement toolkit that outlines various ways to support There With Care through financial donations, volunteering, and donation drives.
- Develop opportunities for businesses to engage with There With Care, such as sponsor packages or workplace giving programs.
Event Planning & Execution:
- Collaborate with small businesses, corporations, and community groups to leverage resources and co-host fundraising and fundraising events. This may include calling, visiting, or speaking to an organization, community group or business about There With Care to introduce the mission and learn about ways they may be able to participate through volunteer activity, sponsorships, in-kinds drives and team building opportunities, providing financial support, or underwriting program items.
- Provide resources for community groups to hold collection drives for in-kind needs.
- Solicit in-kind donations for event auctions or matching corporate gifts.
- Represent the organization at community tabling events.
- Implement a post-event engagement strategy, such as follow-up surveys, thank-you campaigns, and targeted communications to sustain relationships with attendees and partners.
Communication & Advocacy:
- Serve as a spokesperson for the organization, articulating our mission, programs, and impacts to a variety of audiences.
- Contribute to development goals by engaging more individuals through workplace giving at partner organizations.
- Identify contacts at community partner organizations that are good candidates for individual stewardship.
- Identify and leverage local media and community newsletters to share family stories, upcoming events, and impact reports.
Sponsorship Support:
- Provide impact reports on community engagement initiatives to community and corporate partners.
- Solicit sponsorships for There With Care signature events.
- Manage deliverables for corporate partnerships.
- Multi-task and manage ad hoc projects as needed to help with the overall support of the mission of There With Care.

The Important Skills You’ll Need To Have
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 3 years of development experience. Must be able to demonstrate expertise in establishing community or corporate partnerships, fundraising, and high-level networking.
- Ability to envision and convey the organization's missions, concepts, and strategic future/goals to staff, board, volunteers, donors, and/or community partners.
- Strong and professional community facing and public speaking skills with the ability to network and build alliances.
- Demonstrated ability to lead successful fundraising initiatives and meet goals.
- Outstanding organizational and management skills with demonstrated ability to manage time sensitive projects, events, and achieve strategic objectives within a budget and deadlines.
- Excellent communication, conflict-management, mathematical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in MS Suite with CRM experience (Salesforce preferred).
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 20-30 lbs. and/or cumbersome items as it pertains to events.
- Reliable means of transportation as travel may be required mainly in the Boulder and Denver area. No overnight travel.
