Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Tooling Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of progressive stamping tool design experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and developing tool assemblies, generating detailed CAD drawings, and optimizing tool performance. This role requires proficiency in CAD software, along with expertise in tooling concept development, simulation, and documentation.
Responsibilities
Design of tool assemblies / sub-assemblies via CAD system.
Generation of assembly drawings, single parts drawings and parts lists.
Generating cam charts (tool movement flows) with their respective simulation
Investigation of sub-supplied parts and components and usability analysis
Integration and updating of delivered tool documentation for parts with modifications realized during the final tool assembly and try-out.
Final documentation, incl. modifications, after delivery of the production system / machine.
Design-related execution of spare / wear parts orders.
Realization of machine cycle time calculations as well as definition and dimensioning of components.
Presentation of the tooling concept and design in meetings (internal & tot he customer).
Design in accordance with the prevailing machine directives as well as health and safety standards.
Active collaboration in process optimization, productivity increases and cost reductions
Other duties as assigned

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
At least 5 years of progressive stamping tool design experience
Experience in metal stamping, bending, assembly and jointing (progressive dies, multi-slide metal-forming and assembly machinery)
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, etc)
Extensive knowledge with prevailing MS Office applications
Knowledge in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle or similar)
