Reporting to the Assembly Lead, the Assembler II is responsible for the manual and machine-assisted assembly of machined and vendor-supplied components in accordance with prescribed methods. This role requires a higher degree of mechanical ability, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities:
- Assembly and Production:
- Proficiently use machine and hand tools to press, crimp, stake, bolt, rivet, solder, and cement parts in place.
- Utilize assembly tooling and fixturing effectively.
- Perform assembly work requiring a greater degree of mechanical ability.
- Meet or exceed time standards set for operations.
- Work with engineering on R&D projects requiring assembly.
- Quality Control:
- Check and test assemblies to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Implement corrective actions when quality issues are identified.
- Safety and Maintenance:
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Participate in safety training sessions and drills to stay updated on safety practices.
- Shipping and Receiving:
- Perform simple queries in Syspro (inventory, purchase orders).
- Perform shipping and receiving duties as required, including packing products and processing orders in Syspro.
