What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electronics Assembler position at THERM-OMEGA-TECH, INC?
Responsibilities:
Component Preparation and Placement:
- Manually prepare and place electronic components onto Printed Circuit Boards for soldering, per IPC Standards.
- Trim, strip, tin, twist, and bend wire lead of components or ream holes in boards to insert wire leads, using hand tools.
- Place plastic insulating sleeves around specified wire leads of components and shrink sleeves into place, using a heat gun.
- Crimp wire leads on the underside of the board, using hand tools or a press.
Soldering and Assembly:
- Hand solder electronic components onto printed circuit boards, per IPC standards.
- Solder wire leads and joints on the board, using a soldering iron, to route and connect lead wires to the board and between individual components.
- Connect components lead wires to printed circuits and connect wires between individual component leads and other components, connectors, terminals, and contact points, using soldering, press-fits, or related bonding procedures.
- Assemble circuit boards and other components, including enclosures, per production/customer specifications.
Inspection and Quality Control:
- Perform inspections using magnifying devices or electronic test equipment to ensure parts and assemblies meet production/customer specifications and IPC Standards.
