Electrical Lab Technician
Position Summary
This position will assist the engineering team with the development of new controls, testing of electrical components, and electrical testing of products. Our ideal candidate will have experience in designing, testing, and troubleshooting electronic and electro-mechanical control systems. Electrical Lab Technician
Position Summary
This position will assist the engineering team with the development of new controls, testing of electrical components, and electrical testing of products. Our ideal candidate will have experience in designing, testing, and troubleshooting electronic and electro-mechanical control systems. Duties May Include
- Control testing and troubleshooting
- PCBA Circuit testing and troubleshooting
- Soldering electronics
- Prototype assembly
- Wire harness design / prototype assembly
- Electronic / electro-mechanical component selection
- Test data analysis using MS Excel
- Design and build test fixtures using power and hand tools
- Work closely with product development engineers to
- Build/fabricate prototype systems, including
- PCBAs
- Test fixtures
- Wire harnesses
- Sheet metal
- Perform validation tests on circuits and electronic systems.
- Analyze performance and provide insight for improvements.
- Complete high quality working prototypes while adhering to engineering deadlines.
- Provide troubleshooting and hands-on expertise throughout the product development process.
- Inspect product returns from customers and dealers, analyzing failure modes for future improvement ideas.
- Other functions required as assigned by the supervisor.
- Experience designing and troubleshooting electronics.
- Must be able to read and understand schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Tactful & diplomatic verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be self-motivated and a team player capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient PC skills. Knowledge of JDE software is a plus.
- Knowledge of analog and digital circuits
- Experience with MS programs (Word, Excel, Power Point)
- Experience with hand and power tools
- Electrical assembly and wiring experience
- Physically able to lift and move 51 pound packages.
- Refrigeration certification
- PLC / PC Programming experience preferred
