Job Description
As a Strategic Account Manager for our Therma-Tru brand, you will lead the development and execution of sales strategies for key national and regional accounts in the pro-dealer and R&R segments. You’ll focus on building deep customer partnerships, collaborating on repair and remodel strategies, enhancing in-home selling initiatives, and aligning internal resources to drive revenue growth, customer satisfaction, and profitability.
Location: This is a remote position managing a national territory. The ideal location will be in Texas, Florida, or the Mid-Atlantic Region. Up to 30% overnight travel expected.
What you will be doing:
- Lead the development and execution of annual business plans for strategic accounts, focused on both short- and long-term growth
- Partner cross-functionally with Channel, Brand, Finance, and Sales Enablement teams to implement effective in-home selling strategies and adjacent category growth plans
- Support and grow our dealer network, with a strong understanding of the distribution channel and dealer connectivity
- Serve as the internal and external point of contact for assigned accounts, coordinating all sales activities and maintaining consistent communication across stakeholders
- Analyze customer business needs to recommend and implement tailored solutions that drive sales, increase profitability, and reduce costs
- Lead contract negotiations and pricing discussions, ensuring alignment with market managers and regional sales leaders as needed
- Forecast account demand and ensure accurate sales reporting to support strategic decision-making
- Develop and execute customer-specific programs, promotions, and training efforts to support account goals
- Cultivate relationships and represent the brand at trade shows and national events
- Drive execution of business strategies to increase market share and improve product mix within strategic accounts
- Collaborate with internal teams to streamline communication, reduce customer confusion, and ensure service excellence
- Gather market intelligence on pricing, product trends, and competitive activity to inform business strategies
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 5 years of proven sales, marketing or sales management experience calling on National Retailers (i.e. BFS, Lansing, ABC Supply)
- Proficient in MS Office Suites (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and maintain positive relationships with all Outdoors associates, customers, subsidiaries, agents, and sales force
- Ability to analyze market conditions and competition and develop strategic responses to opportunities
- Strong understanding of Marketing, Finance, and Operations
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
- Must be flexible to maximize business opportunities as they arise
Nice to Have:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree
- Experience within the Consumer/Durable Goods industry, preferably Building Materials
- Familiarity with any CRM software
- Ability to self-manage and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Ability to anticipate market and client opportunities and respond appropriately
- Superb written and verbal communication skills
- Must be a self-starter and self-motivator and work independently
Additional Information
Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $93,000 USD - $130,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.
