Chief Estimator
Thermal Concepts is seeking a highly skilled Chief Estimator to lead its Installation team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing the estimation process for construction projects, including preparing detailed cost estimates, coordinating with project teams, and ensuring accuracy and competitiveness in bid proposals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the estimation department, mentoring and training estimation staff to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Develop and implement estimation strategies and best practices to improve accuracy and efficiency.
- Prepare comprehensive and accurate cost estimates for construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead.
- Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and scopes to determine cost implications and identify potential risks.
- Lead the preparation of bid proposals, ensuring that all aspects of the project are covered and that bids are competitive and aligned with company objectives.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to obtain accurate pricing and information for inclusion in bids.
- Work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and other team members to understand project requirements and address any estimation-related issues.
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and cost estimation methods.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in HVAC and mechanical field installation.
- Proven track record of successful project estimates and bids.
- Expertise in cost estimation software and tools (TRIMBLE AutoBid, EXCEL).
