Job Summary:
The Controller will direct the financial operations of the company including budgeting, planning, investing, and other financial matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversees all aspects of the company’s accounting and financial reporting.
- Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with regulations and company objectives.
- Oversees the preparation of periodic financial statements, activity reports, financial forecasts, and annual budgets.
- Manage the month-end and year-end close processes.
- Participates in the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of ERP systems with a focus on accounting and financial modules.
- Act as a subject matter expert for ERP accounting functionalities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, fixed assets and payroll module.
- Work closely with IT and other departments to manage system upgrades, patches, and new module implementations.
- Identify inefficiencies in current accounting processes and recommend ERP-driven solutions to improve productivity.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in their work.
- Collaborate with department managers to optimize budgets and financial plans.
- Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors and tax professionals.
- Advise, manage and help execute sales/use tax strategies, in multiple states, in order to reduce the Company’s overall tax burden and risk.
- Monitor cash flow, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and treasury functions.
- Provide financial analysis and strategic recommendations to improve operational efficiency and profitability.
- Stay updated on accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory changes.
- Ensures that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) or international financial reporting standards.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
- Previous experience in ERP implementation or migration projects.
- Ten years or more of related experience required.
- Construction/Manufacturing industry experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial regulations.
- CPA or other accredited designation which demonstrates above average knowledge of sales and use tax application.

- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Ability to travel as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $101,802.00 - $115,000.00 per year
