What are the responsibilities and job description for the Control Panel / Field Technician position at Thermal Economy, Inc.?
Looking for a qualified Control Panel Technician. Producing control panels for burner management and boiler control PLC systems to accommodate our customers’ needs. We also fabricate control and power distribution panels for different industrial automation industries and processes. The opportunity to learn and grow within the company is available. We hope to find someone with a control panel fabrication background, yet willing to train if you have worked in a similar field.
Position Requirements
- Ability to read electrical wiring schematics for the assembly of industrial control panels.
- Determine amperage/voltage requirement for wiring purposes
- Control/Power Wiring
- PLC Wiring
- Identify electrical symbols. Experience with NEC and UL 508A standards.
- Experience working with circuit breakers, relays, receptacles, electrical enclosures.
- Ability to complete panel/enclosure layout, drilling and cutting.
- Installing HMIs, indications lights/pushbuttons, PLCs, Wireway, Din Rail
- Experience working with Allen Bradley, Siemens, Modicon, and other PLCs.
- Perform continuity, and power testing on completed systems. Quality assurance background.
- Efficient while troubleshooting, and problem solving.
- Forklift experience.
- Leadership Skills and ability to train others.
- 3-5 Years of industrial control and power wiring experience
- Field experience, calibration of instrumentation, installation/modification of electrical systems or maintenance is a plus.
- Standard 8 Hour Mon-Fri Schedule, Overtime depending on fabrication schedule.
- Must pass a drug test and background check.

Pay: From $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
