What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician - OKC position at Thermal Specialties?
Thermal Specialties is looking for a Maintenance Technician for our Heat Treat Facility in Oklahoma City. The purpose of this position is to assist with equipment and facility maintenance and support. The overall goal of this role is to minimize unplanned downtime, improve production quality, increase equipment efficiency and maintain a clean and a safe work environment.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Manage preventative maintenance program
- Perform troubleshooting of issues to maintain equipment
- Record and document all completed maintenance, modifications, and repairs
- Assist in maintaining the inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and replacement parts
- Welding of carbon steels and stainless steel
- Electrical troubleshooting of PLC and 480V systems
Knowledge & Skills:
- Education – Technical degree in mechanical, electrical or industrial maintenance preferred; High school diploma or equivalent plus 3-5 years industrial maintenance experience required
- Must have good time management, multi-tasking, problem solving, and teamwork skills.
- Must possess troubleshooting skills with mechanical equipment and be analytical
- Must have basic maintenance or industrial tools
- May be required to work overtime or any shift, including weekends.
- Must be able to work in an industrial environment at elevated heights and in confined space
- May be exposed to heat, fumes, noise, and humidity, etc
- Valid driver’s license
Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. Must be able to work in extreme high/low temperatures and a physically demanding environment
- Frequently required to stand for long periods of time
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
